Privacy Policy

StickGame.org is a free website with stickman games. You can play without an account, and we do not ask for your name, email or any other personal details.

What is stored in your browser

  • Game saves. Flash games run in the Ruffle emulator and may keep their save data (levels, upgrades) in your browser's local storage, the same way the Flash plugin did. This data stays on your device; clearing your browser data removes it.
  • Ratings. When you rate a game with a thumb, a small cookie remembers your vote so that you cannot vote twice for the same game.
  • Play counter. When you start a game, a cookie that lasts one hour stops the same visit from being counted twice.

What the server keeps

Like every website, our server writes standard access logs (IP address, time, requested page and browser type) that are used to keep the site secure and working. To stop abuse of the rating buttons we keep a one-way hash of the IP address for 24 hours; the address itself is not stored with your votes.

Advertising and statistics

The site is paid for by ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can turn off personalised ads in Google Ads Settings. Visitors from the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland are asked for consent before personalised ads are shown. We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which games people like. Read how Google uses data from sites that use its services.

Games from other websites

Many games on StickGame.org are made by other studios and open inside a frame on our page (most of them through GameDistribution). Those games are run by their makers, who may use their own cookies and show their own ads under their own privacy policies.

Flash games

Classic Flash games are played with Ruffle, an open-source Flash Player emulator. Your browser downloads the newest Ruffle from its official package when you press Play. Flash games on this site cannot open other websites or pop-up windows.

Children

The site is for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and no part of the site asks for it.
